Solar
Eclipses and Their Affect on Us An
eclipse of the Sun takes place when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth,
at a specific time and specific angle. The angle is what determines whether or
not the eclipse is either a total or partial one. There
are many viewpoints on how long an eclipse will affect an individual and the environment.
The classical viewpoint seems to have proven itself valid through close observation.
It states that a Solar Eclipse maintains its' effect and influence for as many
years as the number of minutes the eclipse endures whether this be in its' totality
or maximum effect if not a total eclipse. So if a Solar Eclipse is total for 2
minutes this equates to 2 years for 9 minutes then 9 years and so forth. Remember
that each Solar Eclipse is simply one event in a larger cycle known as the Saros
Cycle lasting many centuries and depends on when the initial Solar Eclipse in
that cycle began. Therefore we can and most times do, have more than one eclipse
cycle in effect at any given time. The
Sun is our illumination, which represents the life force for us and this planet
we call home. So when the Moon blocks the Sun in an eclipse, somewhere something
goes dark and the life force is disrupted in an area of our lives. The area of
our lives affected is determined by where in our chart by house, sign and degree
the eclipse falls. The way or manner in which we are affected depends upon the
relationship the eclipse has to our own Sun and its sign along with the other
planets. We determine this by walking our way through the signs of the zodiac
starting with Aries first and proceeding all the way through to Pisces. So
keep in mind the various areas and things which your own Sun sign rules and the
way they can manifest in your life and you will be somewhat prepared. The effects
of the eclipse may be either mild or wild for you. You may be asking how I will
know. To understand the specifics of an eclipse and its affect on you as an individual
the eclipse must be compared against your exact Birth Chart and not just your
Sun sign chart. The information contained here will give you at least some basic
information and a heads up at best on what to expect. |
